About Us

Children of Grace International (CoGi) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving communities in Jamaica and Nigeria through educational programs, community building activities, and economic development.

CoGi was founded on the belief that all children are born into and covered by the Grace of God. All children have the right to have their basic needs met in a stable environment where they can learn, grow, and prosper.

OUR MISSION

To provide education, awareness, outreach, and advocacy pertaining to the challenges and situations ophans, children, and families living in poverty face on a daily basis. Our approach focuses on three main initiatives; educational programs, community building activities, and economic development.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The focus of our educational programs vary across the communities we serve. Along with our CONNECTKidzCamps and CONNECTYoungAdultCamps, we seek to identify and address the needs of the most vulnerable individuals within these communities. This could include incorporating STEM into our camp curriculum in order to address gaps, or sponsoring a child’s school fees so they can continue their education.

COMMUNITY BUILDING

Our CONNECTCommunity programs are geared towards building sustainable communities by empowering local community groups, churches, and other organizations to invest time and resources in supporting the basic needs of the community. Efforts include, but are not limited to the support and care of orphans and the elderly. The young and the elderly are the most vulnerable to harsh aspects of their environment.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Creating self-sustaining economic development initiatives is imperative to our approach. A key component to our efforts is to utilize our educational programs to develop entrepreneurs and skilled workers for placement in local industries; thus meeting both the needs of the individual as well as the economic environment within their communities.
